ChocoVilcaMundo (CVM) is an Ecuadorian agricultural company owned by Bernard Uhe and his coffee-growing family from Colombia. The management of the El Dorado and La Noria coffee farms is undertaken by the CVM family, which boasts generations of coffee growers from the province of Ibague, Colombia. In collaboration with Ecuadorians who are well-acquainted with the local terrain, they cultivate high-elevation, award-winning Arabica coffee in the Ecuadorian Andes.

Planting of the farms began in 2017.  El Dorado farm sits at 1700-1900m and La Noria farm starts at 2000m and goes up to an incredible 2265m

Typica Mejorado is one of the farm’s prized varieties, alongside Geisha, Yellow Geisha, and SL28. This highly sought after cultivar Typica Mejorado (improved Typica) selection benefits from the farm’s unique terroir: rich volcanic soils, pure mountain spring water, diverse shade trees, consistent 12-hour equatorial sunlight, and organic treatments like neem and worm tea that promote plant health and bean vitality.

For this lot they use a double Anaerobic Washed Process. First fermenting the cherries for 3 days in sealed bags, then pulping and fermenting again for 3 more days before washing and drying on raised beds

The result is a clean, classic profile with exceptional clarity—expect notes of delicate florals, bright citrus, and subtle stone fruit sweetness, all underscored by a refined body and lingering sweetness that highlights the variety’s elegant heritage.
